Rear view mirror and forward sight lines

Anyone else have issues with forward sight lines being obstructed by the rear view mirror on the windshield? I've been noticing it a lot more lately because I've been getting on the freeway at a different on-ramp and it has a "clover leaf" type set up where you go over the freeway and then turn right and loop back around under the freeway before you get on. Seems to me that the mirror is directly in my sight line and I have to stoop in my seat to have a clear view of the road ahead. I've not excessively tall (6ft) and I have the seat all the way down. Any ideas or am I just weird that way? I was looking at maybe trying to move it up a few inches on the wind shield. Any advice on that? Seems like it is mounted with double stick tape of some sort, but I'd probably have to scrape off some of the black bumps to ensure that it sticks well and doesn't fall off.

You could always recline the chair back and do the 'gangsta lean' :)

Nothin against that haha :D

And yea its a metal tab on the windsheild held on you will have to move, the mirror just sets onto it.

I've noticed my mirror in the way occasionally also. I'm about the same height. (6 ft) But it hasn't been enough of a problem to warrant any action other than ducking my head really quick.

Would a smaller mirror be any better?

yes, but what would you do with the wires???

I have a wrap around mirror from a nascar in my monte.

I hate the rear-view mirror in my car, i always seems to block the right side lane at 4 way intersections. I literally cannot see cars approaching from my right if we arrive at he stop at the same time, pisses me off.

I've tried every seat position imaginable (even the gangsta lean) and nothing seems to help. It just seems that the mirror is soo massive! It has the onstar buttons on the bottom of it and thats what seems to make it so big. I looked at the windshield and it appears that the radio antenna runs along the top of the windshield, so moving it up may not really be an option :(

Nope, don't have that problem. I guess being 5'7" helps.
