Is oil consumption normal in 3.8L ?

I have almost 68,000 on my SS. I have used a little over half a quart of oil in the past 2,000 miles. Should I be concerned ?

Well from researching this on the internet, it seems it's not abnormal for an engine to consume a quart every 3,000 miles. Of course this depends on the mileage and type of driving. At this point I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but I will start checking it more often.

General Motors considers the use of no more that a quart of oil in 2000 miles normal. The oil mileage can vary considerably based on the type of use the car sees. You do not have a concern at this point.
