tell you what, you hit the nail on the head with the passing power comment. I don't even getta technically put the hammer down anymore because i'm instantly hitting 85 on the highway. :p

you were also right about the sound system, but in my case...it was gonna get replaced anyways, so the fact that it sounded like crap just helped justify some spendy amps & processors lol

 

Well the sound system is perfect for me 8 speaker enough power 6 CD and my
MP3 plug in thats all I need. The real music is under the hood.

And you must have the Premium sound system. It is my understanding that some Montes have a Bose system. Is that true?

 

Man, it is SO hard holding back from stabbing the throttle for no reason at all...it's like you're being launched!

 

So true. And no Bose didnt make a sound system for the Monte from the factory. The 8 speaker was the top of the line for us.

My 2006 has been a POS. I was a big Chevy Fan and love them on the track, but I just got rid of the wife's Malibu 2002 for a 2009 Honda Accord and it was the best decision. I wish I could unload my MC, but I got 4 more payments to go and it has 31K on it. Kinda of sad, but it is just not made well.

The only Chevys I would buy is either an SS Camaro or Corvette.

 

The 7th Gen Montes had an optional 8-speaker sound system.

 

I'd like to hear how one sounds & compares with my 4-speaker system.
