Default IS THIS NORMAL?
I just noticed today that the LTZ doesn't have a steering wheel lock. I can fully turn the wheel left and right while the key is out.

Is this a new design or not?

thats wierd...that would make it easier to steel for sure...doesn't make sense...

totally fine, more and more are being made w/o steering locks now... i'm guessing accompished theves have thier way around them anyway

Yea my LTZ doesn't lock either. This may have been done in case the car is in a wreck and keys are taken or lost. Tow truck can still steer the car w/o the keys to load it up.

06-07s dont have steering wheel locks and a lot of manufacturers are going to this.

i dont know i have an 01 and it does not lock either.anybody else with a 00-05 like this to?

I checked mine out this morning
My steering wheel locks. Right now she is turned full left and the steering wheel is locked.

My 04 still locks. I really hope they aren't moving this direction. That would suck.
