Do 5 50mph to 10mph HARD brakings. Do not stop!

Then do 5 30mph to 10mph MODERATE brakings alowing time for cool down in between each time. Again, Do not stop.

then allow a final cool down and your set!
Thanks for the info. I will do it. I was told to make sure I got out and do some hard braking to break them in right away but this is a little more detailed.

Very nice looking Monte you have going for yourself. Man you don't put any miles on her in the course of a year... Lucky dog
I am curious to see how these perform and let alone drive the car with them installed haha. I am lucky I have another car to drive when I need to so I only put 5-7k on the Monte a year. I also work in the town I live so that helps too.

Just an update. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these pads or rotors again. They work really great and seem to stop really well. I have a few hundred miles on them and no noise whatsoever. They still look great too.

for anyone that might go this route...it was mentioned to me that the brake pads were probably not the best....well after driving it for awhile now I have to agree. I would recommend throwing them in the trash as soon as you get them ( at least the front ones) They fade once they get hot and seem to grab weird...not to mention they aren't dustless. They cover my wheels within about an hours worth of driving or less. I ended up getting EBC Red Stuff pads that I will be putting on this weekend.

Im going to do a GXP rotor & brake swap eventually once I get enough cash for it. I usually just use the crap from autozone lol, but again I don't do heavy braking and the warranty ones seem to hold up very well....I do gradual stops though so I heat them up and them come to a stop.

I don't do anything crazy with these. The pads are just that crappy. I was going to do the gxp upgrade but once I figured out what it would cost me I was fine paying $180 for slotted and drilled rotors with pads

there should be pics on one of the pages in the thread. Anything ls4 is hard to find in junk yards i have found out. I wouldn't rely on just that. If there are you wanna grab some bilstein struts for me too while you are at it off of a GXP?

Remember the caliper size is different from MC to GXP so you have to decide before you get the rotors.

They stop really good when they are cool. I am curious to get these new pads on and see what they are like. I did the rears too. I am going to hold off on those pads though they arent near as noticeable as the fronts are.
