Monte Performance

Hello there guys! I am new here! and would like some help if anyone doesnt mind!?!? I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS, and was wondering what performance parts would be reccomended ?? Only things i have so far are, Flowmaster 40's and K&N air filter...with stock airbox, anything custom work i can do to increase performance? and what are some websites for the monte? also always wondered if pontiac has performance parts for the monte???anyone get my drift??? I will have pix of the monte soon! but they might not be pretty =( you will soon find out why !!

hey welcome to the site :)

couple performance things....still in the exhaust

get rid of u-bend between cat convertor and resonator with straight pipe
put a high flow cat on and get rid of that resonator for a piece of straight pipe

also if you dont want to spend the money on the cold air intake right now search on the forum for "gutted air box" i've heard that helps a bit too

but a k&n cold air intake works awesome on these cars :)

Thanks for the help my friend! and thanx for mentioning the gutted air box, but out of the two what would you recommend, a CAI or FWI?

i honestly would like to race a monte that has the fenderwell intake and see if there's any difference...because i dont think there will be a difference

You will get slightly colder air with a FWI, but it really might not be noticable. Drivers weight and junk in the trunk would probably make a bigger differance.

A dense, cold air charge should help improve any car's performance.

At this time, a K&N drop in is abou the only upgrade I plan to my '06s engine.
