Default Monte Carlo NASCAR Divers Editions

Me and my dad were discussing my monte and the Nascar edition Montes came up in the discussion. We are both curious as to what drivers cars were released in what year? At first I thought they were all in the same year but Now I know they are not (or at least think, Lol) So I was wondering if anybody knew all the years of these cars and drivers (Note : Talking about the Driver editions, not pace car editions)

Thanks for reading and helping with my question

02 the first Dale Earnhardt edition came out
03 was the Jeff Gordon
04 the were 2 The Dale Jr and the Intimadator
05 was the Tony Stewart
I think these are all correct.

Thanks, I remember the local dealership having quite a few of them spread out over the years. But never paid enough attention to see the years. (Was young so I just thought they were cool being a nascar fan and all haha)

2004 Intimidator Signature Series (4,000 made)

2004 Dale Jr Signature Series (2,883 made)

2005 Tony Stewart Signature Series (1,020 made)

Those, as Lou Green already mentioned are the 6th generation "Signature Series" Monte Carlos. Also referred to as "driver editions" by some.

But those are just the ones produced by Chevy. Dale Earnhardt Sr owned a GM dealership in Newton, NC. There were a couple years in the late 90's where Dale Earnhardt ordered 12 black Monte Carlo's from GM. He then had his dealership customize each of them, then he signed them by hand individually. Those were all 5th generation Monte Carlo's. They are much more collectible than the 6th gen signature series cars. The 5th gens were hand signed by Dale himself, the 6th gens got signature decals or stamps. None of the 6th gens were hand signed by the actual driver when new. HOWEVER...

Jeff Gordon has been hand signing the 2003 Jeff Gordon editions for years. Each year, car owners apply to have Jeff sign their car. Jeff signs a select few each year.

Only thing I could think of would be 2 for his dad, 3 for his dad, 8 for him and 8 for Ralph. But that would require an awful lot of thought, altho it makes sense instead of making 8,888 of them or something (Or they predicted his move & Number change 4+ years early.)
