MC 2001 "Push FOB" inop
My FOB's have quit working. I have replace the batterys.
Following the manual to do the FOB sync-up, I am stumped when I get to the part where the "push FOB" light is suppose to blink. It never does. I have disconnected the battery for up to an hour to try and "reset" all the electrical system with no luck there. I should say that my secondary FOB worked until I tried the sync my primary FOB, then both failed the function. I would like to find out what box it is that controls this function so that I can replace it, or if somebody has another idea that I can try... If nobody has an idea I guess I'll have to give up my MC for a couple of days while the dealer figures out how to shaft me to the max. |
could be something as simple as the three prongs inside tht hold on the battery case to the chip board broke free of the soldering

Agreed ot could be that, you stop by a dealer & see if they might know?

Turned out to be the BCM. $600 later my FOB's are working again. The $600 was for diagnostics and part replacement.
