K&N air intake

Will the engine require a tune after install of K&N air intake kit? K&N is legal in ca. so that is the brand I would use.

No tune required, but it also isn't a great intake. It lets in a lot of heat soak, especially in traffic.

Yea, them K&N dont do much more than make your engine a little louder.. Either go with
CAI inc. Or build your own into the fender or bumper.. The latter is MUCH cheaper and neither one of those is better than the other.

CAI ones look a lot better tho.

well that would depend on , if it has ca. carb number. ca. is a whole different ballgame when it comes to making mods to a car. thanks for the info.

While moving, yes. Mine were also. But in traffic, and especially on hot summer days, there just isn't any movement going on in the engine bay. My IAT's would read 30-50 degrees higher than ambient in those situations, which just leans the car out.

When I did the data stream on mine it was in a heated garage with the hood closed engine at idle at operating temp with the garage door just open enough the let fumes out
