Thanks for the welcome back Chibiblacksheep and KidSpace. I guess I have some questions to answer. The thing is, yes I notice a difference. This has made passing much easier than before, unless I'm already in first gear. Pretty much all of first gear is useless because it will light the tires at any speed in that gear. I've done a number of WOT runs starting at 40mph roll and the tires start squealing. It was kind of radical going from a 222whp NA 3800 to a 325+whp CSC 3800. This isn't quite finished either so that's kind of exciting too. I'll talk about the kit next.

The CSC kit was originally developed by Stattama. For some odd reason the website isn't working for me right now but over there you can see a little information on the CSC. It's kind of an interesting kit that they developed with the mounting bracket and the belt setup for this. The CSC itself is much more efficient then an M90 or anything. Supposedly the Novi 1k only robs about 15hp where as the M90 can rob 30hp or more from the engine.

Installation of the kit was very simple. It took me a little bit just because I had never done this before, but my friend and I were able to do it in what would account to be over a weekend. If I were to do it now it would probably only take about 6-8 hours to install now that I know what I'm doing. The hardest thing out of the whole kit was hooking up the oil feed. There's a t that had to be installed where the oil pressure sensor is down by the oil filter, and that was a pain to do. The oil return is interesting because I bought an adaptor that allows me to return the oil to the oil pan without tapping the oil pan itself. What you do is you remove the oil level sensor put in the adaptor and then you're done. All in all this kit was very simple to install.

Now I'm having a couple of different issues going on. First, when I went to the dyno to have it tuned at ZZP we ran into a few issues. I had just installed some L67 injectors and a set of Autolite103's so I felt like I was ready to make some soso power. However, we were having fueling issues. The 325whp that the Monte made was when we had to cut the dyno short at 5500rpms (it should have gone to 6500rpms). At 5500rpms the problems were that the L67 injectors were at 110%, the fuel pressure was dropping, and the afr had went from about 11.3 or so to 14:1 and still rising. I'm hoping that with a larger fuel pump and some new injectors I will be able to hit 350+whp the way it sits right now with future goals placing the car into the 400whp range somewhere.

The newest problem is the CSC drive belt itself. It must be old or something but originally I thought that I had broken a flex plate. Fortunately it wasn't. Then I thought that a bearing in the shaft going from the serpentine belt to the CSC belt had gone bad, but that wasn't it either. The CSC drive belt itself had lost 14 teeth in a row with another one off randomly (out of 53 teeth). No wonder I could feel a thump from the engine. So now I'm waiting on ZZP to get me a new belt for it. The car is still driving, just the CSC isn't hooked up right now :(
