Default Mileage

Running perfect. Other than the seat not being comfortable, no complaints.

Default 04 SS 3.8 no-turbo

I am fighting rather this is fuel pump or vacuum leak, MAF, or what, so here's a short video with my tack demonstrating. It holds a idle better with the AC on, but still eventually dies. Never been a problem before, just started doing it the last 50 miles or so. Well, it wont let me download MP4, so its normal idle is 800, now its 800, down to 500-600, up to 1200, then after that burst it dies. Starts right back up.

2001 Monte SS
377,674 miles. Still runs excellent.
I am 2nd owner. Bought at 79,000. All miles beyond are mine.
3.8 L - original engine. Never removed.
Three plastic intakes (plenums)
Rebuilt transmission at 105,000
Broke a roller wheel on one lifter at 250,000. Got it repaired. Never touched the camshaft or timing chain & sprockets. Everything else about engine is still factory original parts.

STABILIZER BAR REAR AXLES
(REPLACED DUE TO RUST)
SEPTEMBER 2023
-Latch and Door bearings
(due to the weight of the door and normal wear, caused door to sag and not close all the way.)

Hope this helps!
(Work to be done, before winter) I still own my Monte Carlo and plan to fix the head gasket leak on the engine next.
along with a bearing in the lower passenger side Control Arm.

THOUGHTS:
-I LOVE THIS CAR!
-I have no complaints for a car that's almost 23 yrs old.
-Car was in Chicago it's whole life.
-unsure on number of owners.
-bought in March of 2018
-never left me stranded or broke down while driving.
-Still has the security system issue (more annoying than anything)
-still has a problem w the abs service traction system that now is solidly on. (No one can tell me why though.)

-any advice feel free to message or respond to this.
