i wouldnt run one unless i had a hood clearance issue with the motor, or it was functional. whenever i see those things on a car i shake my head.

Member crusader ss has them. https://montecarloforum.com/forum/me...0&ref=gnr-prev

it is up to you the end result would be the same as the full functional. its my opinoin. but if you manage to get it right and repaint the hood after the hood scoop put on its all good either way imo

I personally think hood scoops look tacky and take away the appearance of the flow of the car! But it is not my car but if you do plan on getting one you should post pictures when you get that done! good luck btw

The lund hood scoops look tacky and cheap IMHO.

It is your car, but if you're going to do hood scoops I think it's best to make them functional and molded to the hood

What he said! Molding them is only was to go, if you do go that route!

Lund Hood Scoops

I intend on putting the ezact Lund scoops on my car, EXCEPT, they are gonna be "molded in" the hood with fibroglass and then the hood will be repainted. I am also gonna make them functional as well. if they are done CORRECTLY they look good, if you just slap them on your hood and call it a day, TACKY.... also, the loweer lip on the scoops Lund makes is VERY thick, they need to be filed down to a smooth and flowing angle, so it looks like they are part of the hood and not just slapped on with tape. Jmo... Good luck with the mod, post pictures after you put them on.... MJClemm:thumbsup:
