Hi everyone,

So I got a rejection on my inspection sticker. According to the Snap on Modis, I need a new MAP sensor, as well as an oxygen sensor, bank 1 sensor 1. Can anyone help me out as far as finding where this sensor is exactly? I plan on replacing it myself. Thank you, Rob

 

Intake i think, but mines broken, kinda happened installing my Cai, but it doesnt matter, its a $250 part you dont need at all.

 

No problem. What year is your Monte. 80's models are different from 90's and 00's.

I'm guessing you have a later model so it is on the rear exhaust manifold. It might be easier to get at it from under the car. Mine was on a 2004 with a 3800 engine.

 

you have a 2001 monte... you only have 2 O2 sensors... and only 1 bank...

bank 1 sensor 1 is the O2 BEFORE the cat-converter, closest to the engine... it is normally installed in the u-bend pipe in front of the cat...

get to it from underneath the car...


bank 1 sensor 2 is the O2 AFTER the cat-converter...


no idea where the MAP sensor is...
