Guess our monte isn't so rare

When we got our 04 SS SC Dale Jr I thought it was a unique car and I wouldn't see another other then here, but yesterday I saw its twin, and they only live a 1/4 a mile away. Its same year, same everything. That doesn't happen to be anyone here is it, lol. If it isn't anyone here maybe I'll try and get them to join.

yeah it seems when you buy a certain car you start seeing them alll over the place, but yours is kinda rare, not sure on the production of how many jr cars were made, but i'm sure someone here will respond and let you know, it seems every other car i see lately is a monte carlo!! see ya

When I owned a Bonneville, I saw 4-5 of them a day. I think there's at least a dozen in my town, lol. I see a few montes around, mostly the baseline, and one, well 2 (including the other dale jr) ss supercharged, but not nearly as many as the Bonnevilles. Mine is a little unique, but I thought it was funny seeing its twin around

I actually worked on an 04 Monte yesterday, which was just a P0455 code which turned out to be a vent solenoid. Actually in the 5 years of being a mechanic I've worked on a total of 2 montes and they only thing I've done is replaced vents. That tells me their pretty reliable considering we work on a few hundred cars a week

I know 2 other Jr. car owners (not through the internet). But mine has no twin anymore

I've been trying to think of something to make it unique, but theres nothing I really want to change, lol. I love the car. I suppose I could add another 8 on each side (making it 88) and make it his current number, but I'm not really a nascar fan, besides he drives an impala now

being one of 2,883 is rare enough for my liking. I wouldn't mind it haha

I just have an 00 SS, the only thing that makes mine rare is the fact that I had the bottom painted, but then they started doing that from the factory with lip-kits :( :(

ya my expereinces not just with my car but my friends too. its like i got a new car and not many people have it and then bam there you see like 3 sittin in the parkin lot or you see on the road somewhere.

the only conclusion i have is you just dont relize the other cars out there untill you have one, dont know just the way the mind works!!!???

Monte Carlos aren't rare at all. Special Editions a little bit more, but not our cars. At least not in my area. Since buying mine I've seen the exact same car (minus mods) about 4 times, one is actually for sale in Merrillville, IN at a Hummer dealer. The others I've just randomly seen.

Like a mustang, you will see plenty of them on the road, but only a few that stand out.

I like to think this forum is where the stand-out ones reside :P
