Got my car tuned tonight.

A neighbor of mine ran some tests on my car and raised the 3-4 gear shift to 124mph, and took off speed limiters and injector cut offs. Idk how much else was done but I like it. Got to top it out at 109 once, then hit 113 after the tune and still had some to go *i was going uphill and took like a half mile lol* Im pretty happy, also got in an order today from a certain site.

Anyone else got some suggestions for other stuff to alter on a stock NA 3800?

What type of equipment did your neighbor use to make the improvements ? What is his background ? Is he a tech ?

HE used hptuner to read it and some other program to actually tune it. He does alot of his own work on his car and knows alot about it so I trust him. And thanks for the thought Space but dont worry space it felt pretty planted at that speed lol.

arn't u gunna do a top swap? y looking for more na stuff?

Enzo354 11-28-2009 12:39 PM

Well im gonna top swap next summer, so i figured id just see how everything is and get it running better... 3* of knock

ChibiBlackSheep 11-28-2009 08:14 PM

transmission line pressure increased + shift points raised

Enzo354 11-29-2009 02:18 AM

What should I raise my shift points to?

nitehawkjcb 11-29-2009 12:24 PM

Don't raise them any above 6000. I recommend 5900, because if you go over 6000 you're risking valve float and/or possibly breaking the springs.

If you're top swapping, do mods that will transfer over, so you're not wasting money. Basically - headers, intake.
