Fuel injected 4th Gen.

Hi Guys, I have a 4Th Gen Monte SS question. I've been looking on Craigslist, there are a lot of 4th, 5thand 6th gens for sale. Some 7th gender too. All for good prices. I was looking there just to get an idea of What's out there and for how much, 4th Gen type. But all the 4th gens I've seen, are carborated. For what I'm looking to do, put an LS9 motor and than into one, I think it would be easier if I could find a 4th Gen with a fuel injected 305 in it. So my question is; did GM ever put out a 4th with Fuel Injection? And is it easy to go from a Carb to fuel infection when doing a total swap?
Although I know a good deal about Cars., I learned on a 71 Camaro and a 73 Skylark, But I've Never swapped a motor of any kind. And this one I'm gonna do it on purpose, not cause it told me to!
I'm not doing it now. Just gathering info. I'm an OL Skowel geek. I "Need Input"!

ZJerry, maybe the LS9 is too much. I'm only looking for about 350 to 400hp. And I Really don't want to spend $21,000 on the engine. I Also want it to be
N/A . Are there and hook up kits for that?

If your doing a LSX swap it wouldn't matter in the 4th carb or injected. The fuel system wouldn't be able to be used. You can build a 5.3 truck engine to make a ton of power an be N/A with fuel injection. Very popular swap nowadays

A 5.3, you mean like out of an Avalanche Z-72. Wouldn't the Heads have to be repositioned/Changed couse there is more room under the hood of a Truck?

Nope. Have get a car intake an accessories for a 4th gem. I think f-body accessories. A ls6 intake would work good. I'm building a 6.0 LQ4 truck engine for mine. There's so many of these swaps now that you can find anything you need for it. Some places even have full swap kits for certain cars. An I think 4th gens are one.
