If the paint he's trying to match is over 4 years old, then simply spraying factory code paint may not match as well as him doing a visual match. With paint fade and variations in shading from batch to batch, the 4+ year old paint may have weathered a bit. Doing a visual match would probably be a better choice in the first place.

That's why I said 'ask Chibi' because I remember you at one time saying you had it done and then GM went and made it an option in the next year.

Chibi is good that way. Any chance Chibi could get GM to make a new Monte?

Yeah, but he stole the black/silver with red stripe from the 3rd gen Camaros ('82-'84 I believe).... Then GM musta loved it so much they made it part of the Dale Earnhardt Monte!!

Whoops, sorry, I let the secret out of the bag :p
Whoops.... Doh! Where did that come from.... :p
BTW - a larger version of this pic is my wallpaper on my work laptop right now. I *WISH* my '84 Z28 looked that good (with exception of my Turbo Daytona hood). I also LOVE the Vette rims (I need a set of those for the Z28).....

OK, I'll give you that, but the Camaro HAD to modify it's usage as it doesn't have those awesome monstrous wheel wells/fenders (and the Camaro got rid of the extra silver pinstripe above the red).
