Default Engine smell?

I can’t find any leaks anywhere- but when I park the car the garage I smell what smells like a hot fluid leak on the exhaust manifolds - it’s strong and very concerning and annoying. So does the LS4 have a leaking intake manifold history like on the LS engines? BTW I always keep a eye on all fluid levels.

Any engine codes, are the gauges all in normal ranges, all dipsticks and fluid fill caps clean seated w/good gaskets. I would guess loose rad cap or just bad cap letting a little pressure out.

You find anything since yesterday?

My water pump went out on my LS4 very early in life (maybe 25k miles?), but I'd think you'd see that/ have drips on the ground when running.

I don't think I've ever heard of a common coolant leak point (like the upper intake on the NA 3800s). Is anything wet / damp when looking from the bottom? Or is it bone dry under there?

All is good - no signs of anything dripping or seepage or stains on floor. I’m completely stomped, but it is so hard to see all around the entire engine as you know.

It is for sure. I wonder if the autozone rental manual pressure tester has an adapter for the oddball LS4 'overflow cap'? Would be nice to pressurize the system with the engine off to see if you can see / hear anything with everything else quiet (and see if it holds pressure or not).

Antifreeze dripping on the exhaust manifold has a sweet smell to it - this smell is very harsh and burns your nose.
