Eh? Cannot Duplicate Error ...
Hear this alot from the dealer when you take your car in for repairs under warranty?
I know I do..
My car has been in the shop a total of five times for a faulty tire pressure sensor error. One out of the five times the error could not be duplicated. [:@] I wanted to slap somebody, but I kept my cool. Now, the other two times I would send it in they would only reset the computer and say everything is okay, but then I would find myself at the shop again three days later. The 4th time they had the nerve to blame my car alarm system as the problem. So I called KARR Southwest Dealers to come out and disable my alarm system before I took it back to the shop. They came over and examined the alarm system and notified me that there was nothing wrong with the car alarm, and that even with the alarm disabled the tire pressure light remained on regardless. Anyhow, the 5th time was the charm when it involved me getting a rental car that was being paid for by them. It seems like everybody at the shop jumped into high gear then. Well it seems the cause of malfunction with the tire pressure sensor wasn't just a lets (reset the computer) and put air in the tire deal. They told me all 3 tires had broken tire sensors [
] . What I find very funny about the whole thing is that couldn't they have known that the first time.

Mine went bad while I was in michigan in august. Or at least the dash said there was a problem and get to a dealer soon. So I contacted OnStar, asked they do a diagnostic on the car. Their tech guy said the car was drivable, just get to a dealer soon so they could check the system out.
Got back home, made the appointment, went in, they checked the system out. Said all (or most) needed replaced. Including some antenna attached to the firewall?
So had to make ANOTHER appointment so they could get the parts in and take the car back yet ANOTHER time.
But so far no problems with the system since.

Your right, they should have seen that from the start. I know that alot of dealers are trying to get out of doing warenty work. No real money in it.
Side note.
Is this the same Felix Chevrolet thats on Adams and Fig?
I remember back in the days, Felix Chevrolet was the place you would want to buy cars from and have repaired. How times have changed.

Mine went bad a couple months after the car so I took it in and the fixed it right away. The dealership I bought my car at is the same place pretty much everyone in my family has got there car. They are good people and usally get the job done right the first time. But I need to take my car in sometime soon for oil change and a little noise in the steering wheel at low speeds when I'm turning.

Some guy named George I talked with ...
You should check out your MyGMLink.com service history see the bull they put in there.
When I first got the car, the door to the gas filler was rubing the body and scrathcing the paint. So I went there and the tech just kinda bent the hinge to make it allign better so it wont rub anymore. Well on my GM link is listed as Fuel Tank Filler Door replaced. WTF.
All other issues are Concerne not duplicated even if they did do work on it.

I think is pays-off to Call Chevy's Customer Satisfaction Line ans get a Case Number for the problem. They make an entry on the computer and use your VIN Number so that whenn you go-in with the car ... the Case Number shows on the Chevy System. That lets the Service Department know that Big Brother is watching.
I opened a Case number for my Turn Signal Switch .. right now were trying to find-out if the replacement is going to be covered by the extended Warranty the car came with.
The people at Chevy are very nice and actually call you to see how the situation is getting resolved.
Looks like they are bending over backward for current Chevy owners looking to make you happy enough to be a return customer the next time you need to buy a new car.

Makes me appreciate my dealership more. Thankfully there hasn't been many problems that I couldn't fix myself, but the ones I do, they are willing to jump in and take a ride with me to show them the issue. Gets fixed the first time ALMOST every time. Just a few times have my vehicles had to go back and it was because of obscure items.
