Do you have your own Computer Code Reader?
With as important as they are, especially if you do mods ... have you got your own Code Reader?

RE: Do you have your own Computer Code Reader?
Actually 3 now.
My first was an Innova OBD2 scanner just to clear my CEL. Actually well worth the money $130 http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...P?keyword=obd2 Then I got my LS1M before he went out of business. Still not sure if I am going to keep it. Very easy to read KR while on the road. Finally I got my HPTuners that I haven't had a chance to play with yet. |

Yes, I have a Diablosport Predator... tunes the car and reads/scans all codes... can even clear and/or disable them...

Yes, I started off with an Autotap on a palm (which I still use quite a bit just because its so compact)- now I've moved on to the DHP PT on a laptop. I usually do all my scanning on the AT, and my tuning on the PT. Having a laptop in the car going down the track is a PITA anyways- my palm sits right in the cupholder, and I can lock the screen so that nothing accidentally gets pushed while I'm driving.
For those getting into modding, I don't think a code reader is important as a combo scan tool/ code reader- the scan tool being the more critical part. IMO for those modding an L67- the scan tool is essential. But for those who want to get heavy into modding- its more cost effective just to jump straight to a PT/HPT so you don't double buy stuff. |
