did some 88 ss come with bench seats
 

i have a friend that just go a 88 ss that has bench seats shifter in the colum and it also has single exhaust he wants to know if it is a real ss thanks a lot for your replies

I owned an genuine 87SS that had a split bench seat and shifter on the column. I don't remember about single or dual exhaust. From what knew bench seats were not common but that there were some produced. I don't remember where you could check to verify if it is genuine or a clone.

Yes, some came with bench seats and column shift.

Best way to determine if it is an SS:
Make sure the 8th digit in the VIN is a "G"

I don't recall any SS that came with single exhaust? The duels was one of the selling points of the SS models. Not saying someone out there couldn't have ordered a car with single exhaust on it. I guess it's quite possible this did happen.
