brakes lost power and tranny leak???
 

so i just got done cruising for a bit(not high speed or anything) and im heading home and notice that my battery gauge is not straigt up like it normally is when driving. mines does wiggle but always goes back to the middle. either way, its at about 1/4 when i get home and i pop the hood. nothing unusual going on. so i get back in and put the car in reverse to see if it move the gauge like it usually does, NOPE! the brake pedal pushes my foor towards me as far as it can(maybe a inch or 2) and it now wont press back in. it feels like i lost power to it. after i backed it up, i notice fresh fluid on the ground. i look under the car and its small drops of transmission fluid. NOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??

Are you sure it is transmission fluid and not brake fluid??

Good thing is you made it home safely before losing your brakes. Guess only you can tell what is going on, your going to have to do a thorough inspection of you system. Seems obvious it is up front and should be relatively easy to track down.

Look in your master cylinder to see if in fact it is low of fluid to verify your leak is brake fluid and not tranny fluid as you initially suspected.

Could be your Master Cylinder, brake line at the caliper or in some nondescript location. Let us know what you find out...:eek:

Also, make sure you chock the wheels of your car "just in case". Just to make sure your car cannot move until you find out what is wrong.
