Anyone have info on a 1980 gran touring coupe?
 

I have a 1980 MC that is a "Gran Touring Coupe". I've heard this may have been an after market ad on, but i'm curious if anyone has background on where this was done and how many were made.

It has a vinyl top with different roof line (more boxy than standard/landau). I don't have a pic handy of my actual car, but included a pic of one page from the original brouchure that shows the roofline and the "gran touring coupe" emblem/chrome.

If anyone has any info, background, or pointers, i would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the Monte Carlo forum. Back in the 80's I owned a Chevelle and a Camaro and a couple of old Impala's I saw a few of the 3rd Gen Monte Carlos but didn't pay much attention. Here is a link that may help.
