I just bought a 70 Monte, my first restoration. What im looking for is how to find out if the front seat are original. I need to get the front seats recovered and had several quote but also telling me that the 70 monte did not come with a bench front seat with a armrest. However i do have this and the front seat matches the back perfect. The front seat also has a power seat switch 4 way. I have alot of questions to find out more on the car. I am going off memory here, and I am no expert on the 70 monte, but my friend had one way back when I was in High School. His did not have a arm rest. and not many carsin the early 70s had power seats, mainly just caddys, Lincoln's,etc.

I would bet that your montes seats front and back have been replaced at some point over the last 37 years.
