Your picture appears to be the base model. No spoiler, no fog lights, no high sport ground effects, base model hubcaps.

Default 05 mc

While the 6th gens ( no ss or pace car ) look very plain it doesn't take away the nice flowing lines that the MC does have.
But Yes, the SS packages and Pace Car editions are what keeps this car from being something that GM just quietly dismissed when they did.
I overheard a "Car Show Judge" saying the nearly the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago while attending a show...but he still shook his head at mine ( ).
Bottom line is that I'm seeing a lot of disrespect for this car which surprises me.
I still, get compliments from time to time. It's just a matter of taste and likes vs. dislikes.

Agreed. If I didn't just get rid of the Monte Carlo, one of the next things I was considering doing was removing the door moldings.

Cowboy6622, Duane, removed the molding from his 2003 recently when he re-painted it. Said he filled the hole in.

I see a lot of SS models here. Seems like I am always in my 01 LS when I do. When I am driving my Dale Earnhardt I never see any monte's..

I keep seeing the same Intimidator edition and Jeff Gordon edition when I'm not in my Monte. If I try to drive my Monte in the same areas I saw them, I never see them.
