I guess it is mainly for around my area, i check craigslist and findcars, and the wheels for you free booklets often for monte carlos. With my 2nd job I'm hoping to save up 5-7k in a couple years n get a N/A 3800 monte SS as a back up car in the winter.

I would take the Pace Car if you can get it for 6K.

It has a much NICER interior, lower miles. Yes the front skirt is missing (but at least they painted the replacement), and the hail damage (look at this, if it is bad walk away). But you can see that right away.

As for the L67 vs L36... The L67 has a lot of miles AND more power. There's a chance that this car was driven hard. The L36 is only NA, but you already have the looks done. You probably will only want to mod for power, and a bolt-on turbo kit can get you way faster than that L67 for pretty cheap

Also if you have lower miles, hopefully the maintenance won't be as bad. Won't have to do anything to the suspension or anything else.

My 2 cents.

I'd choose the pace car - also get a history on how many owners it has had. The mileage seems legit - my 03 has only 28,000 miles on it. When I was using it as a DD I was only 6 miles from work so I never piled on the miles.

i know the car wasn't driven hard, it was used by an older gentlemen who used to to commute from work to home. I do like the N/A interior but DE interior in good condition as well, ive seen it in person. if I was too L36, what mods would I use? what would be their benifits? how much do they usually cost? and would they out match the mods if they were on a supercharged?

Mods, depends on what you want. Spend a simple $500 and you would have a fun car with the L36

Find the money for a simple ZZP turbo kit, and you are easily over 300HP with the ability to further modify and increase your boost.

the Z3 turbo kit goes for about $2300.

If you had $1000 and wanted to turbo eventually, I would tell you to just save up for the kit.
