1986
For 1986, there were four distinct body styles available. The base model Sport Coupe was still available with the same general body panels that it had since 1981, but featured new "aero" side mirrors similar to those on Camaros and Corvettes of the 1980s . New for the 1986 model year was a Luxury Sport model that had a revised front fascia, new "aero" side mirrors, and an updated sleek-looking rear fascia. The LS front fascia included "Euro" headlamps with removable bulbs in a glass composite headlamp housing, versus the smaller sealed beam glass headlights of previous years. The rear bumper of the LS no longer had a "notch" between the bumper and trunk, and the taillights wrapped around so that they were visible from the sides of the car. The Super Sport model for 1986 incorporated the "aero" mirrors, yet still utilized the prior year's styling for the rear bumper.

well the front nose is a must and removeal of all chrome plating on the bottom of the doors back bumper cover is a bit diffrent the spoiler all window trim is flat black and not chrome so a little painting can fix that the rear diff . is a 3.73 (limited slip in some ) compaired to the 3.42 and the gauge cluster is full gauges and not the dummy lights !
and that should get you ponting in the right direction

the front bumper, lower front spoiler, lower front fender extensions, headlights and possibly a headlight mounting panel(unsure bout this from LS to SS), front side marker lights, antenna blacked out incl. base, mirrors, technically the quarter windows cause the rubber around them is larger than the chrome on theLS plus all chrome/mouldings, door handles, lock cylinders, etc..are black. rear bumper, trunk lid spoiler, taillight trim needs 2 be black( i think they are chrome on the LS)cant remember bout the rear side marker lights... they may be correct?? most of this and other items were covered by other members but the worst part is that when you remove the lower chrome trim from the body it will have spot welded studs left on it that stick out like frankenstein's neck bolts that must beremoved followed by a lil' filler or primer plus some paint workdown there. enjoy!!
