04 SS Jr. Edition - How can I find production number?

Found a 2004 Dale Jr. Edition SS at a local dealership about 10 minutes from my home, car was repoed and it's listed at $6,500... I stopped by today and got the VIN number and wanted to see if the car had the Certificate of Authenticity with it but it did not. I asked the owner if they maybe were keeping it inside the dealership but said they didn't have it. Figure that I won't be able to get another certificate if I choose to buy it but does anyone know how I can find the production number??

Thanks.

Welcome back, hope you find another MC. Search the Forum - I'm sure I've seen a post that had info about Pace Car editions and another about Certificates. Not sure if the current GM provides any support anymore.

I believe the total production number for the '04 Dale Jr. Edition is 2,883. You should be able to contact Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. The other source would be the GM Heritage Center at gmhc@gm.com. Either way you should be able to retain what you're looking for.

I appreciate your help. I tried calling the number and couldn't get across to anyone, the system was automated and they didn't really have any options that fit my criteria, considering I don't own the vehicle (yet ;)). I sent an email to the GM Heritage Center this afternoon and gave them the VIN number, hoping to hear back soon.
