I have an 04 SS. I just noticed that the material on my center console is peeling. Has anyone else noticed this?

 

I had that happen to mine, it was under warranty and they painted it... I think it's a common problem as the tech told me they have seen quite a few..

 

What years is yours?

 

Mine is a 03'.... I had it re-painted around 25K or 5 months ago..

 

mone is doing it also and it is under warrenty but getting it done shoudl be fun over here. Also my steering shaft is knocking so that is the next bigg delma to figure out I have less then 16000 left for my warenty right now :-(

 

Mine is doing this as well, has been since I got it in '03. Was thinking of just getting a new center console.

 

This is repairable under warrenty. The TSB number is 04-08-49-009A. You can google this and find out more info

 

Get a new one or re-paint coat your existing console?

 

I was just thinking of getting a new console, but since I found this All Data TSB I might call up my dealer and see what they'll do.

 

i have a club member that just e did all of his interior on a cav. and it looks nice as hell.
he made the whoel thin look like fiber glass it is nice a nd smooth but he took the centers out in his they are cloth and then put them back in to it after wards .

But i have seriously thought of doing it to mine now it is peeling also. If i cant get it fixed i might do that to the coucal or it and the door panels and rear 1.4 panels.

His looks nice . Kind of like that one that was on here a while back that was orange so the panels looked glassed,

His color was not one of my fav's on tha tmonet but i think it would look good in black and gives it a durabel coat on it.
