So I bought my 3'' pvp piping and two 3'' silicone couplers only to realize that the 3'' measurement measure the ID of both pieces. So there is no way I am going to get my couplers to stretch over the pvc piping which is 3.5'' OD.
EDIT: Never mind, I beveled the edge of the piping and applied a little grease and i was able to stretch the coupling over. |
What exactly have you gained? What exactly is the difference between the intakes? I have read this a few times, and i just cant seem to figure out whats going on.

He is getting colder, denser air from OUTSIDE the engine compartment. The denser the air, the better your performance. If you get those EBAY intakes, your getting hat air from the radiator. Robbing performance from your engine.

How does the intake get the air from the outside? Looks like there is already a stock intake from the outside, am i right?
|
Stock intake is extremely restrictive, this is giving him loads more air, and it's still that delicious cold cold air
More air = More power |

The only part of the stock intake I used was the flex tubing from the throttle body to the MAF sensor. Everything else is 3" piping and a cone filter. |
Wheres the windshield washer fluid tank at now?
|
I used an astro van washer bottle and pump. I mounted it under the black plastic filler between the bumper cover and the rad support. Then I lengthened the wiring to the old pump and wired it to the new pump and lengthened the fluid hose. Heres a photo of where it sits now.

Beautiful! I love how you did it! and is the new air filter secluded from the wheel well so it doesnt get water + dirt + snow in it?
|
Wow! This sounds awesome! I've never heard of it before, but it's definitely something I want to do to mine.
