7th gen '06-'07 - adding or fixing stereo controlls
 

ok no excusses disconnect the battery say it again no positive on no negative on take them both off imedeatly before tempting do not do if the battery is still connected no excusses no one wants a airbag going off while trying to fix some thing that close to it.


ok going threw the steps of using the allen wrench that fits the small whole and pushing the spring retainers holding the air bag one on each side. and removing the wires from the air bag small tabs holding the conectors still. then pressing the tabs on each side pulling them off there male to female specific. when that is out of the way you will see the black skeleton that holds the air bag in those big torque bolts are t27 to take them off to lay out the wires. and to install the stereo controls or replacing the bulbs in them or replacing the fuse those torque screw size are t20 take your time on doing it to make sure the lay out of the wires will not get caught in the function of the wheel parts. take your time if it rains close the door and take a break and have a bear root or adult. because it will fray the patents but the pay out will be worth it.


please becareful on taking off the airbag they hurt if you hunkerdown trying to take it off while the battery is still attached to the power system. please disconnect the battery completely
