5th,6th,7th gen console shifter knob replacement

***Pics are from me replacing mine on my intrigue thats why it looks funny but will be the same in just about any auto car with the shifter on the console

Step 1 get your favorite small flathead screwdriver
(I used a 1/8th in Craftsman)

STEP 2 with the car off put the parking brake on or block your tire so it wont roll

Step 3 push on your brake, turn the key to the acc or on position, then put your car in 1st gear, once in first locate the clip that holds your shifter in place

Step 4 insert your scredriver towards the top of the slot, pull handel up, you should feel some resistance and will start to see the clip

Step 6 get your new knob and slid it on and replace the clip, i pushed it in as far as i could with my finger then used my screw driver to finish it up
(like me you may need to get the shifter boot back on)
