Default ZZP Turbo Charger kits/Super Charger kits

Stattama - Stattama Turbo Kit for L36/L67 #SHP-L36L67TK

ZZPerformance - ZZP Z7 Turbo Kit #ZZ-Z7TK

ZZPerformance - L36 Supercharger Kit #ZZ-L36SCK

which would be the best way to go for my 01 monte ss? looking towards doing this in the future so would like some input on what else i would need to get along with the kits. it recommends a intercooler kit to make your hp over 400 which i would probably end up doing as well. any input would be great. Thanks guys!

I'd only turbo if you're going for power... I'm probably going to go with the L36 Supercharger kit seeing how my Monte will probably be my daily driver for a few more years. And with the way I would probably drive if I had a turbo setup, my tranny wouldn't last long at all, neither would tires

More than likely I'll just do the L36 supercharger kit since I already have a few supporting mods. In the future (as in after college, preferably when I'm working full time) I'd like to do an inter-cooled turbo build along with built trans and make it a street/track car but we'll see how that goes, current plan is just to be supercharged in 2012.

Either way you go, if you crank the power up to extreme levels start tucking away additional money to upgrade your tranny at the same time. There is a real risk of damaging it after a few hard pulls. Also I totally destroyed an Intense Racing Limited Slip differential at the track one night. Ended up upgrading with the GM Performance Parts Billeted Limited Slip, no problems since. But that did end up costing me another $1800 for the part itself, plus the loss of the $500 Intense racing part. Playing with power gets spendy, things break..............

What zippy said, when I started running a turbo my tranny started slipping right away.

I would NOT do that supercharger kit. It's wayyyy too pricey for what you get.

What are you looking for? I would say get either the z3 or z7 kit. Stattama is more of a big boy kit, so if you are still going to DD the car I would stay away.

Get the Z3 it'll save you some money but still make some good power for a daily driver

X3 get that trans built if you plan on making any kind of power and go with a turbo kit super chargers are a waste of power in my opinion
