i think that if it doesn't crank over after going to the OFF and back to start.. i'm hosed.

OFF for 45
turn to START (no start)
slipped back to ON (no flashing security light.

waiting 12 more.. c'mon!!

i think this is the 3rd full cycle where there has not been a flashing security light.

ok, re-reading their page... after this i'm going to disconnected the battery for 5 seconds.. reconnect, and then try to start..

also, at no time have i opened the door and obviously the hood has been closed.

Don't try to start it until after the 4th cycle. It sounds like that may be where you're going wrong

really because their initial directions say to "TRY to start it".

well, after this cycle, i'll do the quick disconnect and try .. if not.. back to square one without the START

ok.. didn't start.

Disconnected battery for 30 seconds.
DID NOT attempt to start.. went to ON
Security light started flashing
started 12 minute timer.

I call this cycle 1.

turned off for 45 seconds (did not remove key)
turned back to ON (Did NOT attempt to start)
light still flashing
started 12 minute timer

I call this cycle 2. (9 minutes to go)

BTW after the "4th cycle" do i go to the off position, wait at least 30 and then try to start? or do go directly to START?

Oh, i accidentally hit my door lock button while leaning in this time.. that's not going to make a difference, is it?
