where does this connector go?

I'm putting my 2002 3800 series II back together and I don't see where this connector goes. I rewrapped the wire so it doesn't have the correct bends any more. It branches off between the coil pack and the crank position sensor. It was to dark and rainning today to take a pic.

Is it blue? Most likely it's just a spare connector that's used on SOME cars and not ours. There is one on the passenger side behind the engine that doesn't get plugged in.
