Default What to do.

I've been thinking lately about my top swap plans. My engine will have about 140k miles on it by then, and the transmission will have about 20k, and is non HD.
So far I have the m90, lim, and fuel rails, so Im not that far into sourcing parts.
Lets say I got a l32, already mostly ported and it comes with a transmission already. There is one on morad with 85k for $2000 for example. I could sell off my current top swap stuff and just get the whole thing, or put alot of stress on my high mileage engine and non hd transmission. If I get the l32 Ill be paying a good deal more though. Whats everyones opinion? Top swap or l32 swap.

I think if you can afford it- I'd rather go the L32 route- just keep in mind you're going to have to do something about the electronic TB (ie swap to a N* or LS1)- and the returnless fuel (keep the L67 rails maybe).

I think the top swap is great for adding more power- but like you said, you still have the mileage to worry about. A couple thousand seems well worth it to me to turn back your engine's clock 60k miles. I'd maybe try looking around to see if you could find one with even lower miles (morad is great, but his pricing is a little higher) maybe?

Ill scan the area first, so I wouldnt have to worry about shipping. Thanks for the info on keeping the rails and a N*. I think I would end up saving more in the long run not having to worry about my transmission. Not to mention I could sell my current one.
