Weird ....Tranny? cable

Hey everyone, so this has been bugging my brain for the past 9 months. -__-

Does anyone know what the heck this cable is called and what it exactly does??

(highlighted inside a red....stretched oval lol)

I was cleaning the engine bay last summer and it looked lose, so I tightened it...and now it's a bit stiff going down gears (PRND321) when I shift it manually. Shifting up (123DNRP) seems like it's "loose" and easy to do so.

Something to do with the shifter I suppose right? :-/

Really? No one knows what that is lol

I honestly have no idea. Nice clean engine bay though!

I would say its your shift cable...
Loosen it back up and it should be fine after that....

Maybe you should have left well enough alone?

That's probably the safest way they could route it to the trans to avoid any burning of the cable?

Take your console apart to see if it matchs the cable going to your shifter? If you have any doubts!

Correct - it is the transmission shift control cable.

Haha, yeah I probably should have:rolleyes:
I'll have to loosen it back up when this ******* cold goes away. Ruins everything -____-

Awesome! Thank you, and everyone else for their response!

Is there a way to adjust this of some sort?
