i have hpt standard, i never once regretted getting the standard, the only reason you would need the pro version is if you needed to tie a wideband into the interface for greater accuracy scans, but i do my own tuning and i have an aem wideband setup and i tune on the spot based on the readings of the scan and i use the wideband to target my air-fuel ratios

The PRO version is also good because you do your data-logging without a computer.

Saves your laptop's battery time, and a lot of tracks don't allow you to log with a computer in the car anymore.

I'm purchasing the pro bundle in a couple of months.

You can upgrade to Pro later, if you decided so.

Cost wise it's better to just get the PRO from the start though. Something to think about.

Agreed and much Much CHEAPER.
Head over to hptuners website and read on the forums. One more benefit also is you can start to time other cars, once you feel comfortable and confident as well. There are so many cars you can tune.

We hope that this helps.
