Is this swap possible?
 

ive got a 2005 LS 3.4l LA1 V6 with roughly 93,000 miles on everything. Is it possible to take that engine out and put it in a 2002 SS 3.8l L36 v6 ? the ss engine is shot and needs to be rebulilt buts in much better shape than the 05. ive read its a diffucult job but how hard is it actually??

It's all a very common swap. And if you have both cars, you have all the parts you need. There should be a lot of info on this topic between Monte/Impala/Grand Prix forums.
Without having researched it, the logistics of what you need to do should not be too tough. I don't know if the 3.4 vs 3.8 subframes differ at all (that is my biggest question about the swap).

It should work, you'll just need everything (engine, transmission, wiring harness, PCM, axles) and you may need to modify the wiring harness, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Subframe is the same, with both cars it’s 100% doable. But if you’re going to do that much work why not go for an L67? Unless the L36 car is already yours.
