Been having a issue with p0171 on my 04 SC mc got SD headers zzp exhaust system wizaired cai box and gen v blower with a 3.6 pulley check out the vacuum lines and replaced with silicone tube sprayed all around the SC no idle problem ltft is at 16.4 and short is at 20.3 no milky oil losing my mind emissions is needed soon n don't want to tear down build to have to return to stock please help any appreciated plus do I have my vacuum routing together

To be honest, I can't follow the vacuum line thing to tell if its hooked up right or not. Those fuel trims are pegged though, I'd stop driving it immediately until you can investigate further.

Do you have any misfires / cylinders not firing? If all the cylinders are firing, you've likely got a big vacuum leak somewhere. Should be fairly easy to find with propane if that's the case.

Honestly, whatever you have going on with the blue goop between the SC and throttle body, I'd clean that junk out, replace with an adapter plate and properly seal it. You can get the one from ZZP or buy this one (which solves how to properly manage the PCV system):

And I agree with Bumpin', those trims are really out there. Avoid driving this and get it fixed.

Yea I took the throttle body screen off and I think when I did the lower bolt wouldn't thread so I put the gasket seal around to make sure no leaks but I was being cheap and lazy so is the little nipple on the adapter plate supposed to run to the nipple on the back of the gen v where the Evap is blocked off in the pic cuz I already have the adapter plate installed

Car runs only Code is the p0171 I don't have a tune could that be it looking to get the car smoked to see if I have a leak I can't see with my eye but I am going to dismantle the throttle body and go get some more bolts to retread the holes should I order the rubber gasket and I'll look at the hose on the bottom of the TB adapter plate

I am going to ask that you use punctuation on your sentences. Hard to tell where one statement ends and another begins or what is an question.

It is tough to see that you have the adapter plate because it is covered in blue junk. In the ebay link I gave, the fitting on the plate is to connect with fitting that sticks straight up near your block off plate. It actually appears you have that in place, so assuming no leaks, that is good.

That adapter plate is supposed to use a factory L67 paper gasket between the throttle body and the plate. Any you only need a tiny/thin bead of RTV between the adapter plate and the blower (should not have huge gobs of sealant). Odds are your block off plate probably requires a dab of RTV as well to ensure it is sealed.

I uploaded the actual shop diagnostic data for this code. Some of it includes inspecting the O2 sensors to ensure they are properly installed, no damaged wiring and that they are functioning as they should. It is possible this could be another point of concern.

From what I see, youre not getting boost into the MAP. Youre only getting vacuum because where the line is hooked up near the throttle body.

Then that line coming from behind the supercharger, no idea what thats for. Cant quite tell where its going into..

That line coming from behind the supercharger, where is that going? Do you have a better pic showing a lower angle maybe? It looks like you dont need that at all but I need to see it better.

To the nipple on the back of the gen v from the throttle body adapter do u know what kinda gasket I can use for the back of the adapter or is one not needs where the adapter bolts up to the gen v

04l67 03-31-2019 03:29 PM

Right on I took of the adapter and TB to clean off the excess gasket so no paper gasket is needed for where the adapter bolts up to the gen v it was a paper gasket on it when I took It off can't find on in store or online at least on I know will work I have a vacuum line from the supercharger Ť vac going to the map sensor
