NO!

You have to have a thermostat. Your car would never run at the proper operating tempeture, therefore would never run efficently.

Esecially in colder weather, your car would never warm up. You need to have a thermostat, if you are looking for cooler operating temps, then you can always get a 160 degree, or 180 degree thermo. They have drilled thermostats too.

Why would you want to?

The car with no thermostat will take forever to warm up, and the PCM will go into failsafe mode

I second and third the other comments about "NO".
1 - The car will never get to operating temp (matter of fact, my Monte threw a code once that is was not getting to operating temp fast enough, so I changed my T-stat).
2 - The vehicle is designed to run at specific temps.
3 - This could impact fuel economy negatively running too cold
4 - As stated earlier, if this is a daily driver, you will not have ANY heat during the winter.

I'm sure there are other reasons. Fair question to ask, but I hope you have your information. As stated earlier, you can try a T-stat that opens at a colder temp.

Besides the other great reasons mentioned above, here's an article (somewhat old) explaining how bad wear can be at lower oil temperatures.

Best thing you can do is educate yourself. There's a lot of good and bad info out there. It can take time to sift through and find the truth.

you can do it on older non computer controlled vehicles with out a problem. just not in winter time. ive done it before when ive had a thermostat go bad or stick. i cant speak for computer controlled stuff. im sure the above posts are correct.
