Oil where it doesnt belong

I had to take my upper intake of again today and again I found pools of oil. I thought I had taken care of this problem but I guess not. The oil pools collect in the lower intake manifold in the wells above cylinders 1 and 6 ( where the bolts are).

Does anybody know where the oil is coming from and how I can stop it? The only possibility I can see is through the PCV valve but I can't find any evidence.

My upper intake manifold and intake runners have a coating of vaporized oil that i'm sure is not good for the downstream parts. I'm talking about things like the catalytic converter which I am now getting a 420 code for. I may need to replace the cat but not before fixing the oil problem.

Some oil is normal do to the pcv system. If you want to eliminate it all then I suggest installing a catch can.

I've thought of a catch can but as of yet can't figure out how with the way it is currently setup with the PCV being under the MAP sensor. I'm looking around for an idea but so far nothing.

block off the pcv valve (i jb welded mine) then run a hose from front valve cover to a catch can and let the air vent through a breather filter. drain catch can every oil change at very least

Thanks for the info. I think I have a temporary solution just to see if I can get rid of the oil pools.

as turbo monte said, I think it's normal too. I saw some oil there when I pulled my upper intake off as well.
