will a 305 out of a stock ss monte carloline up with a v6 trans of a base modelbase model

 

sure, it'll line up with anything you put next to it

 

Giving this a bump since it was posted in the parts wanted section by mistake.

 

if you have a 4.3 chevy V6 you can change it out for a 305 and everthing is the same trans bell housing and motor mounts
if you have a 3.8 buick V6 then the motor mounts will not fit so that will need to be change and if you have the o/d trans 200r4 (they have dual bolt patern) that will bolt up but if you have any other trans that will have to be changed too !
