Post need 3.4 engine info

Hey i am brand new to this site and honestly i dont even have a monte carlo. I have a 2000 cavalier that i am doing and engine swap on. I am buying a 3.4 engine and tranny and putting it in my car. I was just wondering if anyone had some info to give me on this engine. Stuff such as how long they last and what kind of performance parts are available.

Performance parts:

How long it will last depends on how you treat it. I'm assuming you aren't swapping it in to baby it- racing around with any engine will shorten its life.

im not planning on racing it or anything. I mean its not gonna be stored cuz the car is my daily driver for now. Im just sick of only havin 115hp in a car that looks like it should have 300.

lol its cool. But ya i got it lowered 2" full body kit, CF hood. 17" motegi rims with low profile tires, catback exhaust, fiberglassed interior, and 2 10s in the trunk. All that but it only have a 2.2 liter with a cold air intake lol. Thats why im puttin the 3.4 in it

3.4 will put you at the 180 mark, are you satisfied there?

o must be too old mybad thought the ecotec came standard in 2000+ but guess i'm wrong. i am kinda suprised no one has said this but if go with a 3.8 you'll have a tone more performance options
