Unfortunately, the trans thing is common, and has been for years on all the LS4 cars. They should've had the 4t80 stock like the Bonneville GXP's.
The belt/pulley thing sucks- but at close to 100k miles, and 6 years old, I can't say I'm particularly shocked- small things like that will likely keep popping up. As for the radio- glad you got that fixed- fuses don't always 'look' blown when they go bad, easiest way to check is with a multimeter for continuity across the exposed terminals on the top (even easier if your multimeter has a beep function). I've seen numerous fuses either bad, or lightly blown that look fine during a quick visual check. I would have to wonder what caused the fuse to blow in the first place though. Since you're having all those issues with the car, and don't seem happy with it- have you ever considered selling it for something else? |
i have a 07 lt that had a bunch of things go wrong after all have been fixed it has been running fine but i do check every thing closely and do a early maintenence. the only thing i have to say is enjoy it when it is running. it is a vehicle it will have some thing go wrong in a fluke but cant blame it when i got mine i went top and bottom and had every thing fixed right away. i had a water pump power steering pump heads and gasket replaced. they all were under warrenty and recalls i cant be mad it is possible that it was just a big bad timming to go bad like what happend to me i still making payments on it but i am not mad because of the enjoyment and the complements i get from some corvette and commaro guys saying i wish chevy still made monye's i would have gotten one

I've owned it since July 13th 2007.
That's the same exact date I got my 1974 Monte Carlo. I got it with 60,341 miles. It now has 70,000. |
Six years old and 87,000 miles.....normal wear and tear. Those repairs are far cheaper than dropping 35K on a competitive product + intrest.
