Motor Mount Flip
I have been hearing that this really helps put a few more horses to the ground by eliminating some enigine jump, seems easy enough from what i have been reading, but I would like to see some before and after pics if anyone has any...
I did do a search for a thread about this, but it only brought back two thread, and neither had pictures that would pull up with them, so if anyone has some it would be greatly appreciated! thanks |
It's more of a mod for those with the 3800 engine. I don't think your single motor mount is that bad.
|
I did it on my 02 a long time ago. It did a little and then I switched to some solid dogbones, didnt feel a diff. Its really easy. Take off the dogbone, tighten hte bolt back on the rubber part grease up that sob real good, then with two socket wrenches flip it. There is nothing like a secret you need to know, just flip it.

cool, thx for the responses

here's a good write-up with pics...
http://www.wesleydean.com/polymount/ and yes, it makes a good, noticable difference on our cars for sure, not just the 3800's.... |
Doesn't it also cause more vibration though? I believe I remember reading some comments about this. Could you confirm?
|
Yeah, little more vibration, LITTLE though. Id say as much performance.response it adds, it how much it increases in vibration. Its worth it though for a FREE mod you know.
|
Ok now i am confused are you talking about flipping it upside down ?
