Question manual transmission swap

Is it possible to swap out the 4t65e from my 07 for a manual transmission preferably a six speed with little to no custom fabrication?

No. It wouldnt even be remotely close to being easy or cheap and will require alot of custom fabrication.

yeah kinda thought it was gonna be kinda far fetched, oh well a guy can dream right. gosh wouldnt it have been awesome if it was an option from the factory for a manual trans

would the 5 speed from the first gen 3.1L work with the 3.5/3.9L? arent they all 60* v6s? personally i wouldnt want a manual trans in a heavy fwd car, unless i had to launch it super high in the rpm range, and didnt want to live with a deep torque convertor.

there was no 3.1 in the first gen monte, and in the 5th gen that had the 3.1 there was no manual transmission. Monte carlos have been strictly automatic since the 1980 model year, 1979 being the last year manual was offered from the factory due to low interest.

I think they mean the first generation 3.1l specifically the early 90s. Some of those cars came with a 3.1l and a 5-speed manual(not sure if they came together) and I don't think any of them were w bodies.

There were some of the early w-body grand prixs that were offered with a manual. This option was eliminated in 94 IIRC. Even the 3.4 DOHC was mated to a 5 speed (albeit rare). Those were 5 speeds. A guy on another forum I'm on mated a 6 sped from a G6 to a 3800 but it was expensive as heck and required a bunch of work.
