i have a 2006 monte carlo ss V8 and i would like to know what i have to do to the engine to make her run faster, but not destroy me on gas usage. i honestly dont know what is in the engine to start off with but i can tell you that it is all stock. if you can i would like to know what the best things are to put in it

Or like Chibiblacksheep said, use your life savings and get yourself putting out 400 horse from your 5.3L, then spend your retirement on a new transmission.

If you just want a few extra hp, and don't want to spend a fortune, then I would go with Air Intake, Exhaust, and a custom tune.

 

yeah i know that asking for 400 hp is a lot, i was just wondering about it because i saw someone say that its possible to get 550 hp out of it. yeah i guess i dont wanna spend 10k on it. how much more power could i get outta it without spending a ton and about how much do you think it would cost
