Magical timing
So now that i have gotten this fuel system working, I have moved to ignition to make sure everything is firing correctly. Right off the bat i noticed not a single spark wire was correctly connected. Someone at one point has changed the distributor, plugs, Wires and it looks like they messed with the harmonic balancer. Now i have the wires in the correct order and the timing mark lined up on the first piston compression stroke. The engine started right up last night, ran much better but still dosent sound right. So today when i tried to start it to figure out what was wrong, and it wont start. I checked the timing mark, and today it will not line up on 0. its stopping over 10 deg advanced. How did it suddenly change over night, only being running once in between these two checks? I am compleatly lost and confused on how it did this or why. I know at least one incompetent mechanic has tried "fixing" the car before, did they possibly remove the balancer and offset somthing?
This is a long one, but im looking for why this occured and if i need to actually get in there and manually reset everything
