look what i pick up for $100?

yup got me a gen v and lower intake for $100, found this locally. the guy i got from said his 04 gtp caught on fire. i talked to him on the phone and we met up. i offer him $100 and he took it, wow!! all the plastic parts on the blower are melted, but rotor and everything else still in good shape. i cleaned up a bit getting most of the sooth off. i thought about selling the gen v and make little, but i think i'll just do the swap cause i probably will not get lucky to find another cheaper gen v again.

I'd make sure and change the fluid and coupler for sure; then personally, I'd take off the TB and take it to a machine shop and have them check to make sure the outlet and inlet flanges aren't warped at all.

thanks blacksheep! 2000_black_ss i got it off craigslist. there are other parts i want out of the L32, but no way will i drive out to his place. he's locate around pulasky and roosevelt. anybody from chicago can probably tell you it's not that nice of a neighbor hood. i met him half way. i just got an email from him reguarding piston/connecting rods and set of heads, he's going to let me know what he wants for it.

bum, i'm going to triple edge performance in fort wayne next week to get my stage 2 ic and a tune. i'm going to take the gen v with me and have trannyman95 look at it and if everything looks good i'll have him port out for a gen v stage 2 ic. that sux i have to get another ic for the gen v. after he's done with the porting probably have him send it out to farnsworth for a polish job. from the look of it i don't see any sign of warping, but i'm not going to know until i have trannyman95 check it out for me.

sure why not i'll have 2 gen 3 machine ported inlet/outlet for sale. with ported lower intake that's already setup for intercooler.

Silverbullitt, your gen 3 ic will work just fine with the gen 5 on top of it.
That's the combo that i'm running right now, a gen 3 core with a gen 5 blower.
IIRC, the highers hp 3800 was a SSm90 kit with a gen 5 blower and gen 3 s2 IC core as well.
ZZP did testing a while back, and the difference between the gen 3 core and gen 5 core with a gen 5 blower on top is something like 2whp.
